Sussex Police said officers, working with Eastbourne council and the owners of the Curzon Cinema, boarded up the building in Langney Road on April 9 in an effort to prevent people from engaging in anti-social behaviour outside the premises.
PC Scott Franklin-Lester, beat officer for Eastbourne town centre, said, “The area outside the Curzon Cinema has been a bit of a town centre hot-spot for anti-social behaviour in the past and following the cinema’s closure, we have worked with the council and the building’s owners to get the area boarded up to prevent this from happening again in future, particularly ahead of the summer.”
