Council is doing a great job closing down our town

I, too, have appealed against a parking fine and was rejected, the reason being I parked a few bays away from the machine and paid the correct amount and was back within my time.
Unfortunately, it wasn't until I returned that I found I had a parking fine as I had accidentally parked in a permit bay.

That was after I got the children out of the car and in the buggy. I just failed to look up to see the permit holders only sign.
My suggestion is when/if you find a space look up down all around, read every sign, even though by this time you may have gained a fine for not displaying a ticket for the time it takes you to do all this.
Can we win?
As for the parking fees increasing, well, I'd rather not say what I think, thank you!
Only that traders will definitely suffer.
