LETTERS: Monstrosity got go-ahead
Why do I say this? Quite simply, just take a brief glance at the frontage of The Cavendish Hotel and its east wing, built as a result of a bombing raid on May 4, 1942. Here we have a truly royal carbuncle, but then again perhaps there was a certain amount of friendly back scratching for this monstrosity to get the go-ahead.
