LETTER: Where’s Bunty?

There is a dear lady in the Lancing area I am trying to track down and as I have not been at all successful, I am writing in the hope you may be able to help?

This is what has happened: Bunty Stepney (née Chapman) was living in Lancing a year or so ago. Her grandfather helped build a very special house in Ferring for an actor called Raymond Massey (‘East of Eden’ star with James Dean).

She called at our home last year with her son.

My husband met them – I was out at the time.

I have tried to locate Bunty and would love to meet up with her, hear what she remembers, maybe see some photos she has.

I have asked contacts in the area if they know her and looked in local directories without success.

Do any of your readers know her whereabouts?
