John Lewis reveals video to share new shopping experience with customers

The Horsham branch is set to be one of the first of the firm’s stores to reopen next Thursday, June 18.
A raft of measures will be in place to keep customers and staff safe, based off what the company has learned through its Waitrose stores.

Hide AdA customer service host will welcome customers into the store and answer any questions while managing customer numbers, queues both at entrances and busy areas of the shop and explain to customers what changes they might see in store.
There will also be reduced entrances, caps on customer numbers, prominent social distancing signage and protective screens at checkouts where social distancing cannot be observed.
Other measures in place will include control procedures for escalators and lifts limiting the number of users, rigorous and frequent cleaning,provision of hand sanitiser for customers to use at all entrances, social distancing in back of house areas and a new contactless payment limit of £45.
