Rail artwork is a ‘dream come true’
The designs were inspired by artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe and Brazilian artist, Beatriz Milhazes, as well as a land and sea art project Year 11’s had been doing in class.
James Williams, 15, of Oxford Road, Worthing, contributed a painting of a Mallard A4 train.

Hide AdHe added: “It’s fantastic to see it up on the wall, it’s a dream come true.”
Emily Newhouse, 14, of Northcourt Road, Worthing, does GCSE Art, she said: “I’m happy that people get to see it.”
A piece called ‘A day in the life of Sussex’ is also on display. The painting was created by 20 Year nine students and highlights attractions in the county, all linked together by the Southern Rail line map.
The Sussex community rail partnership identified the space at the stations and chose the school as part of the their role to get the community involved with Southern Rail.
