UPDATE: Fire in landmark building '˜deliberate'
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called out to reports of a fire at the old Luxor cinema building in South Street, Lancing this morning. Read the story here.
A spokesperson for the fire service confirmed that it was a fire on the ground floor in the derelict part of the building, and that it was extinguished using four breathing apparatus and two jets.

Hide AdThey said it was being treated as a ‘deliberate ignition’, and added that no-one was in the building at the time of the blaze.
Sussex Police has said it was informed of the fire at 10.16am this morning, but has not had any formal involvement.
A spokesperson added that it had received reports that a mattress was the cause of the fire.
Fire crews are still at the scene to ensure the area is safe.
