Walkers add £15k to Ifield pub's mammoth fundraising effort
Now in its sixth year, walkers chose to complete either 20, ten, five or one mile routes between Brighton and Crawley on May 29.
They finished at the Plough Inn, Ifield, where they received a warm welcome from Landlord John Scudder, Landlady Flo and their team, as well as members of the fundraising committee, who co-ordinated the event.

The Pillars to Plough walk was a great success, and a big thank you to all the participants who really went beyond the call of duty – especially the lady who completed 20 miles on crutches. We also had several four-legged friends who completed the course this year, which was great to see.”
“We are looking forward to next year’s event binge bigger and better than ever.”
Ifield Chestnut House was established in 2008 and has so far raised £150,000 for a variety of charities including Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice, The Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre and the Springboard Project, which provides support to young people and families in need.
This has been achieved through a variety of events including raffles, dog shows, music events, walks and donations. For more about go to www.ifieldchestnuthouse.co.uk
