Miles unsure on playing future
He had an operation on a ruptured pectoral muscle yesterday and the quickest he could be back in action would be the middle of October.
Miles missed Raiders’ end-of-season run-in when they won promotion from National 2 South last year with a broken arm, which also caused him to miss the start of this campaign.

Hide AdHe returned to action in October, before his season ended with the pectoral injury at Richmond in March.
Speaking after Saturday’s game with Wharfedale, Miles said: “Depending on how the operation goes will depend on if I can play again.
“It’s tough but it’s just one of those things.
“The quickest case scenario for a return would be the middle of October. But, in the last few years, I’ve taken quite a battering, so it’s whether or not I can make that commitment again.
“I can’t make any hard or fast decisions until I know what the damage is. It’s been quite tough, especially the last couple of weeks.”

Hide AdOn the season overall, Miles said: “It’s been frustrating. We’ve been so close but yet so far.
“We were so close to pulling the perfect game out of the bag every other week but we didn’t and it’s just been frustrating.”
