Both events are sponsored by Natures Way Foods.
Saturday’s aquathon, for seven to 16-year-olds, starts at 1pm while Sunday’s triathlon has a 7am start for those in the first wave, with the try-a-tri event’s first wave at 10am.
The main triathlon on the Sunday includes a 600m pool swim at Westgate Leisure Chichester, a 42km (26 mile) cycle ride and a 10k (six-mile) run.
Some have entered as teams of three, while the try-a-tri event is a sprint triathlon for competitors who prefer shorter distances: a 400m pool swim, 30k bike ride and a 5k run.
